Not A Baby Anymore

This little girl is 2! 

                                

                              

I can't believe our baby girl is no longer our baby. She's a toddler. And yes, all the attitude came with it. She knows how to push our buttons, she knows how to get what she wants (that's if we give in... We meaning me ha) She has her "fake" cry, she doesn't like to listen, she thinks if she lays on the ground facing down it's considered hiding. She loves to do it when it's time to get dressed, get her diaper changed, and go to bed. I always said to myself, "She will not act like some of those other 2 year olds..." Well, I was wrong! Way wrong! It just happens and you can't stop it. So those who aren't parents yet... don't judge us from how our kids act. Ha we have no control. My advice is to not give in! If you have rules or say no to candy before dinner, stick to your guns! Or else you will be wrapped around their little fingers... For the next 18 years!

Laynie is such a blessing! Even with all that attitude, she is still a sweet little angel and I wouldn't change anything! Love you baby girl! Happy Belated Birthday!

    

Summer fun

Hello AGAIN! I'm blogging??? What? Crazy I know! These past couple weeks were fun! First it was Father's Day. I made breakfast for Jeff and made him a homemade "Pinterest" gift that turned out exactly as I wanted it to. We were able to take Laynie to the park and enjoy some sunshine! Then in the evening we went to dinner at Jeff's parents. We were able to go to Calgary for my friend's mom's wedding this past weekend. It was a cozy backyard wedding and Michele (The Bride) looked gorgeous! It was fun to be able to catch up with them! Shauni and I have been friends since grade 8 and even with our busy lives we try to keep in touch! On Monday we celebrated July 1st with Jeff's family. We went to the Raymond parade and had a blast! It was fun this year because Laynie actually could get the candy and her favourite part was the horses! She loves them! While we were there, there was a dog that could pass for a horse! It was HUGE!! Luckily we got a picture with Laynie on his back! We then headed to Jeff's parents and had a BBQ. All in all it was a busy but fun weekend!

We're alive!!!

Wow, it has been way to long since I have blogged! To be honest I have no good excuse. I almost thought of just deleting the blog all together but after reading back at my blog when we had Laynie, it made me so grateful I had it written down to go back to! So now I have decided to blog once a week! We haven't been up to much this past bit. Jeff started a new job on the mines where he is gone 4 days and home 4 days. It was hard at first but now I just keep myself busy and it goes by quick. Laynie and I just hang out inside lately. It has been raining everyday and when it's not it's cold! It totally sucks! I WANT SUMMER! Laynie loves it outside! We could spend all day everyday out there and she would be one happy girl! She is now 21 months old! SO CRAZY! Where has the time gone. In September she will be 2!! She's not a little baby anymore. I'm taking her to a speech assesment appointment next week because she can't communicate that well. She understands everything we say and is super smart but she doesn't say to many words and the ones she does know she won't say often. I'm not to worried but we'll get her checked just in case. Other than that things are pretty laid back around here. We has Easter, my 22nd birthday, and Laynie and I flew down to Oregon for my sister Steph's wedding! Congrats Kevin and Steph! We did get a quad and Jeff loves it! Unfortunately, it hasn't been nice enough out to take it out for the day but hopefully soon!
